Award Presented to University Provost from Alma Mater

 

University of Houston-Clear Lake Provost Carl A. Stockton was selected as a 2012 University of Florida’s College of Health and Human Performance Alumni Hall of Fame recipient. He will be honored at his alma mater’s Spring Awards Induction Ceremony April 13. 

 

Stockton joined UH-Clear Lake in 2007, after serving as dean and Houston Endowed Chair for Education at the University of Texas at Brownsville School of Education. He has also served as department chair of Health and Applied Human Sciences at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington’s College of Art and Sciences. He was department chair of Exercise, Sport and Health Education at Radford University’s College of Education and Human Development.

 

He holds a Bachelor of Science and Master of Arts in Health Education from the University of Florida and a doctorate in Health Education from the University of Tennessee.
