League City to Host City Hall in the Park Aug. 21

August 18th, 2014

4-1 League City logoThe City of League City is inviting residents to learn more about their municipal government and share their opinions at the last of four monthly meetings held in neighborhoods this summer.

The informal monthly meetings, which have been held the third Thursday of every month this summer, from 6-8 p.m., feature informative updates by the city manager and others. The meetings also feature a question and answer session that allows residents to share ideas about the city and the communities they call home.

“This is a chance for residents to sit down with staff and elected officials and have one-on-one conversation. We’ve had some great discussions at the last three events and hope for even more feedback at this upcoming event,” said City Manager Mark Rohr.

The last City Hall in the Park of the summer will be held Thursday, Aug. 21 at Magnolia Creek HOA Clubhouse at 4751 League City Parkway. Refreshments will be provided. In conjunction with City Hall in the Park, the League City Animal Shelter will hold a pet registration and micro-chipping event. All residents are invited to participate. Cost of micro-chipping will be $20. Cats must be in a carrier. For pet registration a rabies certificate is required and proof of spay/neuter, if applicable. There will be a $4 registration fee if the animal has not be spayed or neutered.
