Donations Totaled Over $10,000 for CCEF

The Clear Creek Education Foundation’s second annual “Dine Out to Donate” event was a resounding success with 30 local participating restaurants donating a combined total of more than $10,000 to the foundation.

At each restaurant, diners voted for their Clear Creek ISD school of choice to receive $1,000 for school programs. Two winners were awarded $1,000: Hyde Elementary and Clear View High School. They were selected based on the total number of votes in comparison to student population at the schools.

Participating restaurants opened their doors Sept. 21 for lunch and/or dinner, donating a portion of that day’s revenue to CCEF. The funds will benefit the students and teachers of CCISD.

“The results from this year’s ‘Dine Out to Donate’ event were astonishing,” said CCEF Executive Director Kaci Hanson. “On behalf of the Clear Creek Education Foundation, which supports the Clear Creek Independent School District, I want to personally thank the restaurants that so graciously donated funds and the community for its resounding support for a world-class district within our schools.”

Recently, representatives from participating restaurants, principals from the winning schools and members of the CCEF board of directors gathered at the CCISD Education Support Center to celebrate the successful event, turn in restaurant donations and award the schools the prize money.
