Ron Carter Clear Lake is proud to announce yet another recipient of the 2018 Ron Carter Clear Lake Community Achievers Scholarship, Alane Rozell. Rozell was awarded a $1,000 scholarship funds, plans to study Theatre and Performing Arts at San Jacinto College.
Rozell will be a 2018 graduate of Clear View High School. As an accomplished High School student she earned several academic honors and served in several leadership positions both in and out of school. In addition to mastering her academic pursuits, Rozell also worked many hours volunteering with artistic, cultural and faith organizations throughout our community.
Ron Carter Clear Lake offers the Greater Clear Lake Area high school seniors an opportunity to participate in the Ron Carter Clear Lake Community Achievers Scholarship. Five college scholarships of $1,000 each is awarded to the deserving participants that are chosen, beginning each March. Applications are accepted February through June each year.
Since 2012, the Ron Carter Clear Lake Community Achievers Scholarship chooses from an array of students, and awards the scholarships based on academic achievement, leadership, character, service, and adult recommendations. From March to July, one recipient is chosen per month, and is open to high school seniors in the following Greater Clear Lake areas:
- Clear Creek ISD
- Alvin ISD
- Deer Park ISD
- Pasadena ISD
- Dickinson ISD
- LaPorte ISD
- Pearland ISD
- Friendswood ISD
Applicants may be students of public, parochial, or home schools. Ron Carter Clear Lake is pleased to offer high school students of the Greater Clear Lake area a chance to partake in the yearly Ron Carter Clear Lake Community Achievers Scholarship as a way to show appreciation for the hard work and dedication of the college-bound seniors within the Clear Lake community.
