Memorial Hermann’s Exemplary Clinical Quality Earns Place Among America’s 50 Best Hospitals Three Years Running
Four Hospitals Recognized for Sustained, Outstanding Clinical Performance by HealthGrades®, the leading independent healthcare ratings organization.
Achieving and maintaining exemplary clinical quality has again placed Memorial Hermann among an elite group of U.S. hospitals in HealthGrades America’s 50 Best Hospitals rankings. For the third consecutive year, four campuses – Memorial Hermann Northwest, Memorial Hermann Southeast, Memorial Hermann Southwest, and Memorial Hermann The Woodlands hospitals – have achieved risk-adjusted mortality and complication rates that were in the top 5 percent in the nation. The hospitals are the only Texas-based institutions on the list.
“This is an important clinical quality distinction that we are proud of, and have worked hard to achieve,” said Dan Wolterman, Memorial Hermann president and CEO. “But it goes beyond the recognition. Hospitals that make this list have proven to patients that they will receive high-quality care. On average, patients treated at America’s 50 Best Hospitals have nearly a 30% lower risk of death – that translates into thousands of lives saved each year.”
