Woodville, Texas – The Texas Farm Bureau is among a number of organizations and elected officials supporting Dr. Brian Babin, Woodville dentist and Republican congressional candidate for Texas’ 36th district.”Dr. Brian Babin is a leader and businessman who has devoted a lifetime to the district and conservative principles,” said Texas Farm Bureau President Kenneth Dierschke in announcing the Farm Bureau’s endorsement. “Dr. Babin understands the needs and beliefs of his neighbors in Congressional District 36,” Dierschke said.

Dr. Brian Babin is well known in Southeast Texas as a community leader and conservative trail blazer. After serving overseas in the U. S. Air Force, in 1979 Babin opened his dental practice in Woodville. He has served as mayor, city councilman, and school board member and also as Republican county chairman, regional chair for Reagan, helped organize the Tyler County Patriots and worked for conservative candidates and causes throughout Southeast Texas,
Since 1999, Dr. Babin has served on the Lower Neches Valley Authority, appointed by Gov. Bush and reappointed by Gov. Perry. He also served on the Texas Historical Commission, the Texas Board of Dental Examiners, and the Deep East Texas Council of Governments. He lives in Woodville with his wife, Roxanne. They have 5 children and 9 grandchildren.
